6 days later on a Sunday they call me again and I again drive thirty minutes to pick up my tool... which I should have asked every employee there according to the manager because it was not there and after talking to the manager and asking if this is common practice he said no but offered nothing to solace the situation and told me he would call me the second it was in.
Apparently the store doesn't keep managers on duty.
I have never, ever had to go through so much trouble to get a tool replaced under warranty, in fact most tools I have back in a week, or 2 on a bad week. I've had companies overnight me replacements because they understood the importance. I had the same guy tell me 7 different times "Well, it just takes 6-8 weeks for this kind of stuff".
So I call back a week later and some other yahoo picks up the phone and tells me it is there. I tell them I will be there tomorrow to pick it up. My wife happens to be in the area so I call to see if she can pick it up. After being on hold for 23 minutes, 15 trying to reach tool rental (Where tools go to get repaired apparently) I ask for a manager, after 7 minutes waiting for a manager I am informed that all of the managers are on lunch and there is no one available to assist me.
Every company should shop here.
Terrible. I wouldn't even give them one star but it was required. Bought 4 new appliances, and only 2 work. They would not replace or return my money. GE would not replace the product either. If you want appliances, you would have a better chance buying them from craigslist. DON'T WASTE THE MONEY! Neither one of these companies will help you with the broken product that you bough brand new.
I love this store! Top notch employees. They are knowledgeable and always helpful. (Unlike some other places around here where you'd swear are manned by zombies). Give 'em all a raise!

I had a Ryobi Tool malfunction, and I took it in for repair. It took them 4 weeks to tell me they could not repair it and they were ordering a new one. 3 days later they called me and told me it had arrived. I drive thirty minutes and it's not there and they tell me they will personally call me to tel me it has arrived.
I have been a commercial supper with the Home Depot since I open 11 years ago. The staff is amazing.
God bless Tim, the poor customer service guy who is just doing his job and quite well considering there is no employees in the store and they have no manager in the store at all... Finally some random gal answered the phone and walked all the way down to tool rental and got me some answers and 60 days later I finally have my Ryobi Tool back.
