Best. Experience. Ever. Mary is everything you want in a wedding vendor. She is passionate, caring and detailed oriented. We went for a tasting to only order cupcakes (we'd planned on serving pie) and left ordering 3 different kinds of cake. She showed up to the venue on time, even let my maid of honor know when she was on her way. She came to my venue and set everything up beautifully. I really wish that they allowed for photos to be uploaded, because I cannot do her work justice. It was everything I wanted. Bonus, we ordered cake for 150 people, ended up with 100 at our wedding and only had 3 leftover pieces of cake (which my husband and I ate the next day for breakfast lol). People flipped for it. It was seriously excellent. Spring in Paris rocked my world, it was phenomenal. We also got the regular wedding cake and the caramel apple state fair cake, both excellent.
Mary is so passionate, sweet, and detail-oriented. We had many images on Pinterest saved, and when she made a suggestion to consider a watercolor cake that would match our wedding invitations, we immediately changed our minds. It did not disappoint! When we walked into our reception and saw the cakes, we didn't want to cut into them! Picture-perfect works of art. Mary also designed a fantastic "couples" cake (elements for both the bride and groom). It looked like two books stacked on top of each other and then had a layer to showcase our Sporting KC fandom. Her dedication to her craft shows and the cakes are the best I've ever had!
This is a joke of an establishment in every sense of the word, which is disappointing as the cakes are fantastic. She is never available, never returns calls, always disorganized and rarely follows through on agreements. I would never do business with her again and would caution others to heed my warning.
Mary was very professional and sweet. My bridal party that spoke with her said she was very nice! The cake, as you can see, was absolutely STUNNING and was exactly what I wanted. It tasted just as wonderful as it looked. Her work is gorgeous and delicious and we HIGHLY recommend her to everyone. She is fun loving and knowledgable and we felt that our experience and the cake was worth every penny! So glad we ran into her at a wedding show, because we didn't look anywhere else after tasting her creations! Thanks again, Mary!
Mary did an incredible job with our wedding cake! From the very beginning, Mary was incredibly sweet and accommodating. She worked with us so well and was very patient with us as we had a few extenuating circumstances that made booking difficult. The tasking was an absolute blast and some of the best cake I have ever had. Mary absolutely delivered on the day of the wedding and gave us the most beautiful cake I could have imagined. We are so happy with the results. I would highly recommend Mary and Cardinal Cakes for any wedding or special event. You won't be disappointed!
